Poland : key point of mobile payment market

Poland mobile payment : an over view.
Poland’s score of 27.9 on the MasterCard Mobile Payments Readiness Index is driven primarily by high rankings in Mobile Commerce Clusters and Infrastructure. Poland scores ahead of the Index average in Mobile Commerce Clusters and Infrastructure. While Consumer Readiness trails the Index average, as in several continental European economies, mobile device penetration is high. This suggests that Polish consumers probably just need to be educated further about the utility and value that mobile payments can provide.
Merket Force :
Several partnerships in Poland have been forged among payments providers, banks, and telcos in all three types of mobile payments—P2P, POS, and m-commerce. Independent firms such as mPay S.A., SkyCash and bank BlueCash are paving the way for P2P and m-commerce payments in Poland by partnering with payment processors like MasterCard. Additionally, Intelligo, a Polish telco, and Era, a bank, initiated a pilot for POS payments in 2010. In similar fashion, ING launched a pilot with Orange in 2011. While the areas that need attention in Poland—largely centering around the business regulatory climate—are real, the lively partnership environment in Poland, which includes industry giants like ING, MasterCard and Orange, speaks to potential demand for payments functionality. Mobile phone prevalence is higher than the Index average (59 percent versus 57 percent). This sets up a possible leapfrog scenario, in which electronic payments could bypass currency, and even plastic, and move directly to mobile devices. As a conclusion :
New partnerships and a developing infrastructure are laying the groundwork for mobile payments in Poland. High mobile phone penetration and a higher-than-average Infrastructure score point to an environment that is ready when consumers see the value proposition in mobile payments. Polish consumers may just require a bit of convincing as to the value of mobile payments—in the form of consumer education and marketing—before the market ignites. liens partenaires : Liens partenaires : EMV Level 2 certification for m-POS EMV Level 2 hip and sign swiffpay certification Visa MasterCard mobile payment and m-POS Czech republic europe EMV Level 2 certification for m-POS EMV Level 2 certification for m-POS mobile payment and m-POS in Romania mobile payment and m-pos in Poland mobile payment and m-pos in Solvakia mobile payment and m-pos in Russia mobile payment and m-pos in Europe mobile payment and m-pos in Asia Security mobile payment and m-pos SwiffPay, mobile payment SwiffPay, mobile payment
